Drugs Testing Laboratory is a full-fledged Testing Laboratory working under the administrative control of Drugs ControlDepartment. It is a statutory Laboratory that carries out Testing and analysis of Drugs & Cosmetics drawn by enforcement Officers and samples sent by a purchaser. It is equipped to analyse all categories of drugs except Vaccines, Sera, Blood and Blood components and Diagnostic Kits.
To strive for pharmaceutical excellence and health for all by ensuring the availability of safe, effective and quality drugs and Cosmetics to the public by testing the Quality of Drugs & Cosmetics. And also to empower our Drugs Control Department, Karnataka as one of the best regulatory agency in the Country and pool into all sincere efforts to place State of Karnataka on the global map as one of the best Quality hub for drugs.
Drugs Testing Laboratory will receive samples from enforcement officers either by Legal or Informal and also informal samples by other stateholders. Drugs Testing Laboratory will do complete range of testing for Raw Materials viz Identification, Related substances, etc., as per relevant Official Pharmacopoeias. The Laboratory is accredited by National Accreditation for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL).
